Ease into your day with an incredible sunrise hike along the Long Point Trail. This 1.29-kilometer trek meanders through the forest and features mostly moderate terrain throughout. Consider it your hub for learning all about the New River Gorge and surrounding areas – not to mention taking in some truly spectacular views. The center features various exhibits highlighting the history of the gorge and river, as well as those who worked in and around it. Watch informational videos, stock up on maps and chat with friendly visitors and staff members about adventures past and present. After taking your time among the displays, step out on the back deck to take in vistas of the park that span well beyond three kilometers.
