Heiko Obermoeller's Profile
Heiko is a German-born actor, voiceover artist and puppeteer with a love for nature and animals, most of which he can imitate with his voice. His passion for travel has led him on 500 mile-long pilgrimages through Spain and on countless family vacations on a little farm in the Black Forest. Look for him in a small hidden bar only locals would know; it’s their stories he is most inspired by. To share this passion on DiscoverAmerica.com is a dream come true and certainly something he will tell his grandchildren over and over again.
Shopping and Entertainment in Aurora, Illinois
As I walk along the Fox River on a pleasant fall afternoon, the side streets of Aurora exude an idyllic suburban calm. Along with quaint homes with cute gardens, I pass a small church, then head into bustling downtown Aurora. It feels like the downtown of a big city to me, with its sophisticated shops, restaurants and cafés. Don’t let the city’s quaint charm deceive you – Aurora has excellent shopping and entertainment outlets that will please nearly everyone.
Billings: Culture and Fun in Montana’s Largest City
The mighty stone walls of Swords Rimrock Park surround beautiful Billings like a natural, protective wall. Just like we do on this morning, early fur traders and Natives must have once gazed upon the early encampments down at the Yellowstone River, which quickly grew to become Montana’s largest city. Today, Billings is not only a vibrant and active city, but it’s also a perfect gateway to the famous Yellowstone National Park.
Townsend, Tennessee: Picturesque Natural Escape
On the day we arrived in Townsend, in eastern Tennessee, nature showed its beautiful side. We drove up into Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which in early summer offers breath-taking sights of deep green valleys with countless colourful flowers and impressive mountains.
Bradenton, Florida: Fun Activities in a Beautiful Destination
It is a relaxed and beautiful afternoon in Manatee County on the north end of Longboat Key, a narrow barrier island off the coast of Bradenton in the Gulf of Mexico. Only a few people are walking on the beach, with its palm trees and almost snow-white sand along the turquoise waters of the gulf. Beyond its beautiful beaches, Manatee County offers many thrilling vacation opportunities for lovers of sports, adventure and shopping.
Central Montana: The Spirit of the Old West
Once nicknamed "The Bloodiest Block in the West“ for its brothels and saloons, it’s peaceful now as we explore downtown Fort Benton, yet Montana’s oldest town – located northeast of Great Falls – still exudes an air of the Old West.
